We are in the midst of summer and if your holidays include a tour of Emilia-Romagna, this extraordinary land where the greatest food and wine excellences are born, we invite you to stop by our ancient vinegar factories .
You will be able to learn about the history of Maison Malpighi and Traditional Balsamic Vinegar of Modena DOP , through documents and historical objects preserved for over 400 years.
You will be able to visit our ancient vinegar factories, magical places where the barrels of the finest woods are kept inside which the precious Black Gold slowly lingers.
Furthermore, you will be able to discover the ancient techniques of decanting and topping up and discover heirlooms preserved by the Malpighi family used over the centuries by vinegar makers, including a "three-layered" barrel that dates back to the 1500s.
The guided tour, which is held at the Taste&Tour headquarters in via Vignolese in Modena, at the exit of the Modena Sud motorway toll booth, also includes a "vertical" tasting of the Traditional Balsamic Vinegar of Modena PDO, passing through the younger vinegar to the oldest. This way your palate can gradually get used to the different flavours.
